Stephen and Amanda
Garden of the Gods
November 7, 2009

Over the weekend I got together with Stephen and Amanda for an engagement session in the Garden of the Gods. They are getting married next spring at Lake Tahoe, which should be fabulous. We wandered around the Siamese Twins rock formation, climbing rocks and enjoying the warm weather. Thanks, Amanda and Stephen!

Me, photographing Jenny and Brian at their springtime wedding in Maryland

Wow, I haven't blogged in a while, sorry! It's been a busy few weeks, and I'm still trying to get caught up on work after a trip to see my family in Virginia last month. I have a lot of things I've been meaning to post, including this fun series of behind-the-scenes photos from 2009 weddings.

My good friend Heather took this picture of me crawling around in a field of flowers, taking this photo of Jenny and Brian last spring. Here are lots more photos to reveal what happens on the other side of our cameras!

Behind the scenes with Charlotte and her team! )

Stay tuned for Behind the Scenes, part 2, coming later this week! I've got some great photos for Part 2.

went through several piles of paper/books/miscellany that has been collecting in a few spots. made a trash pile, a "to school where maybe someone wants it" pile, and a to-usa pile. I'd like to have everything sorted and ready for packing or selling before the 15th, so the last two weeks can just be enjoyed.

mmm... passionfruit green tea:

apparently all the windiness on monday was a dust storm blown down from russia and china. and boy did it bring a lot of dust! at one point I was in the living room and noticed the cat's bowl full of tiny black something. I didn't understand at first because we also tend to have ants in her water sometimes. So I picked it up to wash it out and there was a white circle where the bowl had been sitting. Then I realized the entire floor was COVERED in black soot. So nasty.

I have only received about 1/2 of my PQs the last couple days.  Has anyone else had this trouble?  I've left a message on the GC forums as well as this one.

This isn't a life threatening issue, but it is messing up my GSAK. ;-)

Thanks for any info!

I'm looking to get into geocaching and I am researching which handheld GPS I should get, I'm looking closely at the Garmin Etrex Vista HCX, I want to have something that is entry level but won't be obsolete in a year. The Vista maybe that machine as it has an expandable memory as well as a built in compass as opposed to the Etrex Legend. But I'm really looking for opinions as to what others think and maybe I'm completely of track and that's why I'm soliciting opinions.
